P&C IT Services provides professional services to help our business units and corporate functions use technology to create, manage, and optimize information and business processes. The Great American Software Lab is seeking a DevOps Developer Inter for summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Deliver new features and maintain Surveyor related products which help with our developer experience, code quality and technical debt.
• Surveyor is a portal for gathering / tracking and reporting technical debt across the GAIG porftolio
• Utilize AI to improve software quality, performance and delivery time

Requirements

Ability to work in the office at minimum three days a week.

Education

• Pursuing a degree In Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related
• 2028 or 2029 graduation year

Experience/skills

• Tech stack: Python, scripting, java, kotlin.
• Ability to dive into a large polyglot codebase and contribute as you learn.
• Being okay with the uncomfortable feeling that comes from learning new things.
• Interest in exploring new programming paradigms, languages, and patterns.
• Demonstrable ability to research problems and break them into discrete parts.
• Have empathy with your pair and freely exchange feedback on a continual basis.
