Junior Test & Validation system engineer (Embedded Systems) at ALTEN Mexico

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Test & Validation Engineer with strong experience in automotive embedded systems and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.

• Design and develop test cases to validate automotive ECUs and subsystems on HIL platforms.
• Execute validation campaigns to ensure compliance with system requirements and specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with HIL benches to ensure smooth testing operations.
• Regularly update simulation models and test scenarios to reflect evolving system requirements.
• Develop automated test scripts using Python, CAPL, or MATLAB/Simulink.
• Integrate test cases into CI/CD pipelines for efficient testing workflows.
• Analyze test results to identify issues in software or hardware performance.
• Provide detailed test reports, including test coverage, defect trends, and validation status.
• Validate communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet) and system interactions.
• Ensure all testing activities comply with automotive standards (ISO 26262, ASPICE, OEM guidelines)

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with HIL testing tools such as dSPACE, Vector CANoe, NI VeriStand, or ETAS.
• Proficiency in automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, UDS, FlexRay) and related tools.
• Strong knowledge of test scripting languages like Python, CAPL, or MATLAB/Simulink.
• Familiarity with electrical and electronic systems in vehicles, including sensors, actuators, and ECUs.
• Experience in developing and executing validation test plans.
• Ability to analyze system behavior and diagnose root causes of defects.
• Strong english communication skills
