Seniority: Intern
P2S is an engineering firm providing professional engineering services across multiple markets and specialties. The Software Development Intern will support engineering projects through research, design, prototyping, testing, documentation, collaboration, and technical training during a 10–12 week summer internship.
Responsibilities
- Assist the engineering team in the execution of ongoing projects
- Conduct research and analysis to contribute to project development
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines
- Contribute to the design process working directly with the team
- Participate in prototyping activities to test and validate design concepts
- Assist in conducting tests to ensure the functionality and reliability of engineering solutions
- Work closely with quality assurance teams to identify and address potential issues
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation
- Generate reports and summaries to communicate project progress
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals
- Participate in team meetings, providing valuable insights and feedback
- Engage in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills
- Seek opportunities for continuous learning and development within the engineering field
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university majoring in Software Development
- Trained to utilize CAD/BIM standards
- Ability to work effectively in a highly energetic and multiple-engagement environment, dedication to teamwork, a strong work initiative, and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas; detail-oriented
- Candidates must have current work authorization in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications
- Training in Revit and/or AutoCAD is a plus
- FE/EIT is a plus
